Home Information Packs (HIPs)

- A Home Information Pack is a collection of documents which are required by law (as of 14th December, 2007) for all properties being marketed for sale.

- It consists of Title Deeds, local searches, water searches and an Energy Performance Certificate.

- The idea behind the Home Information Pack is to speed up the sale process for home owners by providing the majority of documents required to sell a property. The pack also demonstrates to potential purchasers that the vendor is serious and committed to selling their property.
